"Once a King or Queen in Mrs. Freed's class, always a King or Queen in Mrs. Freed's class." ~ C. S. Lewis (slightly paraphrased)
We are READY to take this test! :)
Congratulations to my wonderful students who did a great job on the state writing test! I can't wait to see their scores. Every child worked diligently until the last minute - writing their little hearts out and checking and double-checking their work to make sure it said just what they intended. I could not be prouder of them!
A Round of Applause
...for our special guest from Mrs. Maschas' class.
J brought his traveling Writing Art Exhibit to share with us the day before the Writing Test. We truly enjoyed his point of view of what you should and should not do on the day of the writing test!
Graffiti Wall
On the morning of the test, students wrote the best word they could think of in the following categories: Dialogue Tags, Strong Verbs, Powerful Adjectives, and Transitional Phrases. Such great writers! So impressed with their growing vocabularies! :)!
